LG G Pad 8.3

Popular UK retailers, Expansys and Clove, are selling the LG G Pad 8.3 16GB WiFi-only for only £199.99. LG’s medium-sized tablet may have yet to beat the Nexus 7 (£176); but for less than £30 more; users can get larger display and more powerful hardware. Nexus devices are more appropriate for users who want to enjoy the zero-day software update from Google. At the moment, the LG G Pad 8.3 still runs the older Jelly Bean version.

However, the real competitor of the G Pad 8.3 is the Retina-capable Apple iPad Mini is currently available at a hearty £319. Samsung’s upcoming tablet model will further intensify the competition with the new Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. We could expect Samsung’s new 8-incher will available in the same ballpark with the LG G Pad 8.3.

For £199, users could get a tablet with 8.3-inch (1920 x 1200) display, 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
