Samsung is expected rule the roost in the UK Android marketplace this year as shown by its terrific smartphone sales. However, unlike Apple, Google and Amazon; Samsung doesn’t really have an iconic brand in the UK tablet market. This could change in 2014 and beyond, because the company may plan to release tablet models in all possible sizes under the sun. And if recent figures revealed by OnSwipe, a web content creation firm, are anything to go by far, it is possible that Samsung will reap dividends for its efforts.
Samsung may release nearly 100 million tablets in 2014 and this seems like a bold goal; considering it only managed to sell less than half this number in 2014. It could also mean that the Samsung will double its tablet sales in the United Kingdom.
There are four new tablet models Samsung will introduce in the UK. To be priced at around 100 Euro or £83, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will compete directly against tablets released by major retailers, Tesco and Asda. The top-end model will be the Samsung Galaxy Note SM-P900 with its 12.2 inch display. We would really like to see Samsung joins Apple, Google and Amazon as a major tablet provider in the UK and this would give us more.
